National Recovery Month banner

National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery possible. SAMHSA aims to increase public awareness surrounding mental health and addiction recovery.

The Fairfax Prevention Coalition (FPC) celebrates individuals living lives in recovery and recognizes the dedicated workers who provide the prevention, treatment, and recovery support services that help make recovery possible. Please join us in these efforts and support those in recovery. Together, we can make a difference!
